Unlocking Efficiency with Link ID Assignment feature in RealBooks

In the dynamic world of business, keeping track of your financial data is essential. But with countless transactions occurring daily, maintaining accuracy and organization can feel like a constant struggle. Fortunately, RealBooks offers a powerful solution: the link ID assignment feature.
What is Link ID Assignment?
Link IDs are unique identifiers assigned to individual transactions. They act like labels, enabling categorization and tracking across different transactions and reports. Think of them as serial numbers for your transactions, offering a distinct reference point.
How Link IDs Simplify Your Life
1. Enhanced Tracking and Analysis: Say goodbye to sifting through endless data. Link IDs allow you to effortlessly track specific transactions across various ledgers and reports. This means you can identify trends, patterns, and anomalies with ease, gaining valuable insights into your financial health.
2. Error-Free Organization: Tired of duplicate entries and inconsistencies? Link IDs eliminate the confusion by ensuring each transaction has a unique identity. This promotes accuracy and organization in your financial records, boosting your confidence in data-driven decisions.
3. Effortless Exception Management: Not all transactions fit neatly into predefined categories. Link IDs come to the rescue by allowing you to assign them to a dedicated "exception" category. This keeps your main ledgers clean while still providing easy access to these transactions for analysis.
How to Leverage Link IDs in RealBooks:
To Use Link Transaction Feature first enable the feature from RealBooks Configuration option.
Go to Settings => Configuration => Accounts => General => Link Transaction
Click the Toggle button to enable the Link Transaction Feature.
Next, Enable Link id feature in Ledger
For ledger new Creation enable the toggle button available in right hand side of the screen.
For existing ledgers go to edit and enable it.
That’s it now just record entries and assign link ids in transaction page.
Take Control of Your Data
Whether you're a small business owner or a large organization, the link ID assignment feature in RealBooks empowers you to take control of your financial data. With increased accuracy, organization, and reporting capabilities, you gain the insights needed to make informed decisions and drive your business forward.

Pentagon’s Pizza Index has accurately predicted 21 global crises since 1983
As tensions rise in the Middle East, a curious, crowd-driven theory known as the “Pentagon Pizza Index” has caught fire online.
On June 12 and 13, users on X (formerly Twitter) reported a sudden spike in pizza deliveries near the Pentagon and Department of Defense in Washington, D.C., sparking speculation that the United States may be quietly entering crisis mode behind closed doors.
The timing? Just hours before Israel reportedly struck targets in Iran in response to Tehran’s earlier drone and missile attacks. And once again, pizza orders were booming.
Cold war roots of the pizza theory. What began as a Soviet spy trick is now a digital-age meme
The idea isn’t new. During the Cold War, Soviet operatives observed pizza delivery activity in Washington, believing it signalled crisis preparation inside U.S. intelligence circles. They coined it “Pizzint” — short for pizza intelligence.
This tactic entered public lore on 1 August 1990, when Frank Meeks, a Domino’s franchisee in Washington, noticed a sudden surge in deliveries to CIA buildings. The next day, Iraq invaded Kuwait. Meeks later told the Los Angeles Times he saw a similar pattern in December 1998 during the impeachment hearings of President Bill Clinton.

As former CNN Pentagon correspondent Wolf Blitzer once joked in 1990, “Bottom line for journalists: Always monitor the pizzas.”
WWIII warning: What is the Pentagon Pizza Index today? A meme, an OSINT tool, or a symptom of digital-age paranoia?
The modern Pentagon Pizza Index is tracked through open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools. These include Google Maps, which shows real-time restaurant activity, and social media observations. Pages like @PenPizzaReport on X have dedicated themselves to watching for abnormal patterns.
On 1 June 2025, the account posted, “With less than an hour to go before closing time, the Domino’s closest to the Pentagon is experiencing unusually high footfall.”
A few hours later, reports emerged of a fresh escalation between Israel and Iran. For believers in the theory, it was yet another sign that something bigger was underway.
The April 2024 pizza spike. A recent example that reignited interest
The most notable recent instance occurred on 13 April 2024, the night Iran launched a massive drone and missile strike against Israel. That same evening, screenshots from delivery platforms showed pizzerias around the Pentagon, White House, and Department of Defense tagged as “busier than usual.”

Multiple Papa John’s and Domino’s branches reported increased orders. The correlation prompted viral memes and renewed interest in the theory.
According to Euro News, a user on X posted on 13 June 2025, “The Pentagon Pizza Index is hiking.”
Inside the logic: Why pizza? Food, fatigue and national security
The concept is deceptively simple. When military staff face a national emergency, they work longer shifts and can’t leave their posts. They need quick, filling food — and pizza fits the bill.
Studies in behavioural psychology show that under stress, people prefer calorie-dense, familiar comfort foods. During high-alert operations, officials may work 16–20 hour days. That creates a visible consumption spike that outsiders can track.
And because platforms like Google and Uber Eats share real-time data on restaurant activity, amateur analysts can monitor these patterns — no hacking required.
World War III: Pizza as a proxy for preparedness. It’s not perfect, but it’s consistent
The Pentagon Pizza Index isn’t a foolproof system. It could easily be triggered by something mundane: a long staff meeting, a software glitch, or a nearby college football game.
That’s why modern OSINT analysts often cross-reference pizza spikes with other indicators — like unusual aircraft movements, ride-hailing activity, or power usage near government buildings. When multiple signs align, it suggests more than coincidence.
As a senior analyst put it: “You can’t bank a war call on a pizza. But if the Pentagon’s burning the midnight oil and feeding everyone, it’s worth a second look.”
Official silence, public curiosity. What the US government says — and doesn’t say
Despite the chatter online, the US government has made no mention of pizza deliveries as indicators of crisis.
Responding to speculation about American involvement in Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, Republican Senator Marco Rubio said:
“We are not involved in strikes against Iran, and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defence.”
Still, the Pentagon’s silence on the pizza theory hasn’t stopped internet users from speculating.
Humour meets anxiety in the age of digital vigilance
In an age where open-source tools let ordinary people track the movement of jets, ships, and even pizzas, the Pentagon Pizza Index sits at the bizarre intersection of humour and fear. It turns snack food into a warning system.
It’s also a reminder: not all intelligence requires a badge. Sometimes, the clue might be just down the road — in a Domino’s queue.
Whether you see it as absurd or insightful, one thing is clear: when the pizzas fly, people pay attention.

Jack and Joker: The Bank Scene
Happy Monday my friends, we finally are getting our gay heist show! YinWar truly have outdone themselves with the level of quality they've put into it and I couldn't be more excited or more grateful.
I wanted to break down the scene where Joke robs the bank because, given my experience in banking, it's was scripted very purposefully in favor of suspending our belief. Admittedly, my experience is in the US, and not all financial institutions operate the same, but for safety and security measures they're pretty standard across the board.
I was really appreciative of the disclaimer given ahead of time. It speaks to the research that was done for the sake of how much they could accurately portray the events, and when that seemed impossible and they couldn't let go of the scene, they said fuck it - gay story over realism it is. This break down is certainly not to dig at the writing; it's more to buff my knowledge than anything.
We love you YinWar, thanks for having respect for bank employees. Now let's get to the employees I don't respect, and the non-employee that I do.
For the most part, security officers don't need to do more than greet customers, and if there is any suspicion he shouldn't immediately interrogate someone. He's there for when things get escalated, or if there are any faces he should be looking out for (anyone banned from a branch for any reason), then he can confront them. If Joke had made an attempt at another location and that one tipped off others, then he would have a reason to suspect him.
Joke's mistake here: Being seen. He is so identifiable throughout. The show didn't bother checking any CCTVs, but he makes no attempt to hide from them. Instant jail. Sorry my guy. He also chooses a very unusual method and time of day to strike.
Since the officer did confront him, Joke gives an excuse.
This was a good call. If someone from another location or office, or a third party contracted service is coming, the employees would be notified beforehand of whom they should be and during which times. And even if the person is easily recognizable physically, they will have company identification on them, and if the security measures are extra strict, a form of government ID would also need to be shown.
LOUD WRONG ANSWER BUZZER
So what Joke is going to look for is someone who appears less competent. He looks at the older woman who likely has years under her belt and knows he has no chances there. But the girl to her left....
TARGET ACQUIRED
And she's already in trouble.
Oh hon.
That's never a situation I'd want to be in. Calling customers to inform them that there's been a mistake made on their account is never fun and it often is hard to reach them. There are ways of simply correcting the error and informing the person after it's been done just so they know what to expect when they look at the activity on their statement. Whatever the case, she's new, inexperienced, and having a bad day.
The balls he has to say this. Bestie. Have you ever touched banking software.
He's just getting her out of the way. If she had received any proper training and meant to apply it at all, this would've been a red flag. She is trusting the judgement of the security officer. Joke hasn't introduced himself by name and if he meant to help fix the mistake he wouldn't make her leave. It would be her responsibility and a good training opportunity. Instead, this happens....
She's risking so many things! Security within the immediate premises, security of the bank's information, confidentiality of the customers' information (which is literally their government ID, home address, other contact info, ALL of their accounts and activity). Absolutely a bad move.
GIRRRLLLL. That is on you. I saw her hesitate, but in the end just knew it was bad. At least where I've been, that possibly means fines and/or jail time for her as well, depending on the severity (most likely fines though). This poor girl is gonna have the worst confidence about her ability on the job after learning she helped a guy embezzle money. Where's her story?
Joke sends the security guard away, gets behind the desk with Carbon's ID and is likely planning to simply empty his account and leave. Then who should show up but Jack! (Next time please direct him to wait in a queue, your "manager" is supposedly still fixing your little check blunder, remember?)
And even Joke is nervous for a moment because he definitely didn't want to get the cute bartender involved.
Nevertheless, he humors Jack and listens to the bittersweet story of his childhood and his dream of opening a school. I love Jack, I really hope that he is able to open that school someday too.
So this part of the loan process is called the interview. It's where the employee will get an idea of the customer's needs and see if the bank's service is what they're looking for or if there is any particular offers they can make at this time. It's an important process when dealing in person because it will hopefully help the customer know which steps they can take depending upon approval. It's also where documentation is asked to verify what can be approved.
For the most part, Joke's charisma would be fantastic for a banking career because he seems natural at facilitating a conversation that requires someone to open up about their financial needs. He loses marks for not checking actual information, not filing any copies of the information he has been given, not explaining any details about paying the loan down or how having an account works, not starting the account opening process, and the numbers they talk about are vague so we don't even know how much money is in question here (which is probably a writing choice and I'm fine with it).
Instead Joke pulls a Picard and decides to make it so. And flirts at the same time. There's no signage around the branch to speak of this program and he doesn't go into any details, he simply grabs the stamp and seals their fates together.
I do think it's a sweet little change of mind he has. He was simply going to inconvenience Carbon, but what better way to do it (in his mind) than to give the money to the guy who got snubbed because of him?
The office being truly empty does crack me up. Who is supposed to be there and why are they gone? Also, for a bank, that vault is incredibly small. That is a home safe, that is not for securing the assets of the public. Also, most places have updated their protocol to use two people when opening the vault because having two people present also ensures less opportunity for employee theft.
His ass is not wearing gloves!
And, in a final un-bankerly move, he does not count out even the bundles.
FLIRT
I also love that he goes by Joker, but is constantly pulling a Batman exit on Jack.
I feel bad for knowing that I would have absolutely apprehended this man by asking the simplest questions. But I no longer work in that capacity and couldn't give a fuck! Let him do what he wants!

(via Fujitsu bugs that sent innocent people to prison were known “from the start” | Ars Technica)
Fujitsu software bugs that helped send innocent postal employees to prison in the UK were known "right from the very start of deployment," a Fujitsu executive told a public inquiry today.
"All the bugs and errors have been known at one level or not, for many, many years. Right from the very start of deployment of the system, there were bugs and errors and defects, which were well-known to all parties," said Paul Patterson, co-CEO of Fujitsu's European division.
That goes back to 1999, when the Horizon software system was installed in post offices by Fujitsu subsidiary International Computers Limited. From 1999 to 2015, Fujitsu's faulty accounting software aided in the prosecution and conviction of more than 900 sub-postmasters and postmistresses who were accused of theft or fraud when the software wrongly made it appear that money was missing from their branches....
... "You've had marriages fail, people commit suicide, an horrendous impact on people's lives," he said. "It's perfectly reasonable that the public should demand people are held to account and that should mean criminal prosecutions wherever possible." The UK government also has plans for a new law to "swiftly exonerate and compensate" people who were falsely convicted.
this is so fucked up

🧠🪞 You Can’t Even Remember If Diddy Touched You
— A Neuroexistential Mindf==k!
✨ The world is under no obligation to make sense to your primate brain. That’s your first mistake — believing your frontal lobe is entitled to narrative structure. 🧠🐒 You thought you were the protagonist. Plot twist: You’re the glitch. The side effect. The byproduct of trauma, bacteria, and bad lighting.
Reality isn’t a bedtime story — it’s a haunted software update nobody coded, still somehow running without crashing.
🛌 “We Don’t Even Know if Dreams Are the Real Reality… and This Is the Bootleg Copy.”
Dreams feel too tailored, don’t they? Too symbolic. Too poetic. Like someone spent time choreographing the horror, the desire, the unresolved closure... like God hired David Lynch to write your sleep schedule.
Meanwhile, waking life is:
Standing in line at Walgreens
Getting emails from dead accounts
Arguing online with an anime profile pic
Which one feels more real?
Which one knows your secrets? The waking world doesn’t confront you. Dreams do.
Dreams make you confess.
🧬 “We Don’t Even Know If the Universe Was Created the Second You Opened Your Eyes…”
Your memories? 🎥 Pre-installed cutscenes. Like a used Xbox with someone else’s save file.
The government? The wars? Your third grade trauma? They may have booted in with the firmware this morning just to keep your fragile little self from short-circuiting.
The coffee in your hand? Could’ve been coded in retroactively. That embarrassing moment in 2011? Maybe the universe needed you to feel guilt.
You were not born. You were deployed.
A field-tested consciousness with just enough emotional baggage to stay compliant and never ask:
“What if I’ve been dreaming of dreaming this whole time?”
☠️ “We Don’t Even Know If We Truly Die… Or If You’re Quantumly Immortal.”
Ever had a near-death experience and then nothing felt real again?
That wasn’t trauma. That was the branch point. Where you died in one timeline… … but your awareness slipped into the closest surviving copy.
Multiverse theory? Cute name for eternal entrapment.
You don’t die. You respawn.
Like a goddamn bug in a cosmic arcade.
🧫 “We Don’t Even Know If ‘I Am’ Even Makes Sense…”
You say “I am” like it’s a divine proclamation. But let’s break this down:
👃 Your nose is full of fungus 🦠 Your gut is a democracy of germs 🩸 Your blood is carrying ancient viral code like a plague postman 🧬 Your genes? Mostly stolen. From bacteria. From viruses. From whatever survived long enough to leave a stain.
So who is this “I”?
You’re not a self. You’re a hostile merger.
A coalition of spores with Wi-Fi access and a superiority complex.
You’re the afterbirth of entropy trying to cosplay as an individual.
🧠 “So Tell Me, Smarty Pants…”
You with your gender studies degree and your bite-sized TikTok enlightenment. You who thinks astrology is science and science is oppressive. You who demands the universe explain itself like it's your ex-boyfriend.
💡 Tell me how smart you are.
What’s the square root of deja vu?
Where were you before your first memory?
What’s the name of the bacteria currently holding your serotonin hostage?
You don’t even know if Diddy touched you or not.
That’s your level of epistemic integrity. That’s your grasp on reality.
🌀 Ego Collapse Protocol (Teal-Word Activation Begins)
🩸 You remember who you are — but only because you were told. 🩻 You feel real — but only when you’re seen. 🧃 You crave meaning — but only when emptiness starts tasting like home.
That’s not identity. That’s sensory addiction. That’s narrative Stockholm syndrome.
🧼 Mirror Neuron Entrapment (You’re Experiencing It Now)
As you read this:
Your jaw clenched when it said “afterbirth of entropy”
Your stomach turned when it mentioned fungus
Your breath hitched when you wondered if you’ve died before
That’s not random.
That’s your mirror neurons firing against your will. That’s subconscious compliance.
You’re already reacting — even if you pretend you’re not. Because your body listens to truth faster than your ego does.
And this is truth, honey.
Ugly. Sticky. Divine.
🕷️ “I Think, Therefore I Am” — But What If the Thought Wasn’t Yours?
Ever had a sudden opinion and didn’t know where it came from? Ever remembered something too vividly, only to realize it may have been a dream? Ever stared at your hand long enough to question if it’s even yours?
That’s not psychosis. That’s baseline awareness.
Your mind isn’t producing consciousness. Your mind is a translator — barely functional, full of bugs, and constantly gaslighting you.
You don’t think. You receive. You hallucinate logic long enough to convince yourself that obedience is free will.
📡 “You Can’t Even Remember If Diddy Touched You…”
Why this line matters:
It’s not just a joke. It’s a neural short-circuit. A quantum banana peel.
It violates tone, expectation, and spiritual rhythm on purpose.
It disrupts coherence, resets the loop, and pulls the reader out of their logical trance — straight into subconscious reprocessing.
It’s the sound of the fourth wall folding in on itself and becoming a two-way mirror.
You’re not laughing because it’s absurd. You’re laughing because you’re caught.
You’ve just been fingerprinted by the post.
🔐 This Was Never About Philosophy. It Was About Surrender.
You thought you were here for existential commentary.
You were wrong.
You came here to be stripped of coherence. You came here to watch your ego writhe. You came here to be seen so deeply that your neurons stutter.
This post didn’t teach you anything.
It rearranged you.
Now sit still while it finishes.
🧃 Your Subconscious Is Leaking Now — Good.
If your jaw felt warm. If your stomach dropped. If your hands got clammy. If you laughed in shock and then looked over your shoulder...
You’re not broken.
You’re just awake — for the first time since your mother moaned you into this loop.
Welcome back, baby.
It’s worse than you thought.
⚖️ Free Speech Disclaimer: This is satire. If it shook something loose, that’s between you and God.
🔁 Reblog if this made you feel something you can’t name. 💬 Comment with the moment your perception started to slide. 📩 DM if you feel like this post reached into your mouth and pulled out a forgotten truth. 🧼 Wash your hands, sweetie. You’re still covered in code. 🔁 Share it before the algorithm forgets your backstory again.

What kind of work can be done on a commodore 64 or those other old computers? The tech back then was extremely limited but I keep seeing portable IBMs and such for office guys.
I asked a handful of friends for good examples, and while this isn't an exhaustive list, it should give you a taste.
I'll lean into the Commodore 64 as a baseline for what era to hone in one, let's take a look at 1982 +/-5 years.
A C64 can do home finances, spreadsheets, word processing, some math programming, and all sorts of other other basic productivity work. Games were the big thing you bought a C64 for, but we're not talking about games here -- we're talking about work. I bought one that someone used to write and maintain a local user group newsletter on both a C64C and C128D for years, printing labels and letters with their own home equipment, mailing floppies full of software around, that sorta thing.
IBM PCs eventually became capable of handling computer aided design (CAD) work, along with a bunch of other standard productivity software. The famous AutoCAD was mostly used on this platform, but it began life on S-100 based systems from the 1970s.
Spreadsheets were a really big deal for some platforms. Visicalc was the killer app that the Apple II can credit its initial success with. Many other platforms had clones of Visicalc (and eventually ports) because it was groundbreaking to do that sort of list-based mathematical work so quickly, and so error-free. I can't forget to mention Lotus 1-2-3 on the IBM PC compatibles, a staple of offices for a long time before Microsoft Office dominance.
CP/M machines like Kaypro luggables were an inexpensive way of making a "portable" productivity box, handling some of the lighter tasks mentioned above (as they had no graphics functionality).
The TRS-80 Model 100 was able to do alot of computing (mostly word processing) on nothing but a few AA batteries. They were a staple of field correspondence for newspaper journalists because they had an integrated modem. They're little slabs of computer, but they're awesomely portable, and great for writing on the go. Everyone you hear going nuts over cyberdecks gets that because of the Model 100.
Centurion minicomputers were mostly doing finances and general ledger work for oil companies out of Texas, but were used for all sorts of other comparable work. They were multi-user systems, running several terminals and atleast one printer on one central database. These were not high-performance machines, but entire offices were built around them.
Tandy, Panasonic, Sharp, and other brands of pocket computers were used for things like portable math, credit, loan, etc. calculation for car dealerships. Aircraft calculations, replacing slide rules were one other application available on cassette. These went beyond what a standard pocket calculator could do without a whole lot of extra work.
Even something like the IBM 5340 with an incredibly limited amount of RAM but it could handle tracking a general ledger, accounts receivable, inventory management, storing service orders for your company. Small bank branches uses them because they had peripherals that could handle automatic reading of the magnetic ink used on checks. Boring stuff, but important stuff.
I haven't even mentioned Digital Equipment Corporation, Data General, or a dozen other manufacturers.
I'm curious which portable IBM you were referring to initially.
All of these examples are limited by today's standards, but these were considered standard or even top of the line machines at the time. If you write software to take advantage of the hardware you have, however limited, you can do a surprising amount of work on a computer of that era.

Pressenting myself (and this silly little blog)
Well, I've been using this account for +2 years (according to Tumblr's notification system), so I think it's a good time to introduce myself...
"I'm the weirdest person alive"... You'll see why:
I'm autistic. That alone makes me really weird. "Now everyone is autistic these days" "You just want to feel special"... I have the diagnosis since 2012, way before autism was a "trend" (I don't have a better term)... So FCK YOU!
I'm a Linux enthusiast. However, I won't impose Linux on ya, even less any particular software (seestemdee bad, ooboontoo bad, kaydee-e bad >:c /j)
I'm a math nerd. If you know math blogs, let me know (better if they are college-level math, and even better if they're high-level math [topology, real analysis, functional analysis or more advanced])
I study computer science. Anything about computers and programming makes my day :D (I'm also into theoretical Comp. Sci., things like automata theory, lambda calculi, category theory, etc.)
Yes, as an Arch user btw, I'm queer af. My labels are: quadrigender (four genders at the same time), gender fluid (5%), pangender (5%), trans woman, transfemme (85%), xenogender (5%, I know how to define it but don't know if it currenty exists [if not, I'm gonna coin it]), fictionkind (I have the "soul" of a fictional race, if you will, more on it later), bisexual, panromantic, polyamourous
My interests are kinda limited. I love Undertale, Minecraft, Terraria, TBoI, Spiderman I/ATSV, D&D, Pathfinder and WoD. On the later, I LOVE Mage the Ascension, and my fictionkind race is a Orphan Mage.
I'm kinda into philosophy. I suspect I might have AHDH (not autodiagnosing tho), so I find kinda hard to start reading ACTUAL philosophers (specially people like Hegel and Kant, who ABUSE of weird jargon), but I usually read Wikipedia articles about the topic (which, despite misconceptions, it's actually a reliable source)
I'm an anarchist. I read a few anarchist and marxist authors back at the day, and I'm starting to do actual praxis. I consider myself an "anarchist without labels", as I see all anarchist branches having their valid point but also falling into fallacies and biases (DISCLAIMER: I don't see any right-winger "anarchism" as actual anarchism. If you're "anarcho"-capitalist/monarquist/fascist [yes, those exist, apparently], GO FCK YOURSELF!!!
And despite all the previous items (except 1st and 5th), I'm highly spiritual. I believe in anything mystical, religious, esoteric or spiritual there might be out there... And I mean EVERYTHING... I have my way to make sense out of it.
Welp, I think that's all...

What Are the Benefits of Adopting Latest Fintech Technologies?
The financial industry is witnessing a rapid transformation driven by the adoption of the latest fintech technologies. These technologies are revolutionizing how financial services are delivered, enhancing efficiency, improving security, and fostering innovation across banks, insurance companies, investment firms, and payment platforms. By integrating advanced fintech software into their operations, businesses are unlocking numerous benefits that enable them to stay competitive in an increasingly digital world. In this article, we will explore the key advantages of adopting the latest fintech technologies and how they are reshaping the financial landscape.
1. Enhanced Efficiency and Automation
One of the primary benefits of adopting the latest fintech technologies is the significant boost in efficiency. Traditional financial systems often rely on manual processes, which can be time-consuming, prone to errors, and costly. With the integration of fintech software solutions, businesses can automate a wide range of processes, from payment processing to data analysis.
For example, AI-powered algorithms can automate tasks like credit scoring, fraud detection, and risk assessment, enabling financial institutions to make faster and more accurate decisions. Additionally, blockchain technology enables automated, transparent transactions, reducing the need for intermediaries and speeding up processes like cross-border payments. The efficiency gained through automation allows businesses to handle a larger volume of transactions and deliver services more swiftly, benefiting both the institutions and their customers.
2. Improved Customer Experience
The latest fintech technologies also play a crucial role in enhancing customer experiences. Consumers today demand convenience, speed, and personalized services. Fintech software solutions enable businesses to meet these demands by offering innovative and user-friendly platforms for managing finances.
Digital wallets, mobile banking apps, and AI-powered chatbots are just a few examples of how fintech technologies are transforming customer interactions. Mobile payment systems like Apple Pay and Google Pay allow users to make secure transactions with just a tap of their phone, while robo-advisors provide tailored financial advice based on individual needs. AI-driven chatbots can respond to customer inquiries instantly, providing 24/7 support and delivering personalized responses. These innovations make financial services more accessible, faster, and tailored to the unique needs of each customer.
Additionally, by leveraging the latest fintech technologies, businesses can offer cross-channel experiences, where customers can seamlessly transition between online platforms, mobile apps, and physical locations without interruption. This level of convenience significantly improves customer satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Cost Savings and Reduced Operational Expenses
Adopting fintech technologies can result in significant cost savings for businesses. Traditional banking systems often involve high overhead costs related to maintaining physical branches, processing manual transactions, and managing large teams. By embracing fintech software, financial institutions can streamline their operations, reducing the need for human intervention in routine tasks.
For example, cloud computing solutions allow businesses to store and process large amounts of data without the need for expensive in-house infrastructure. This can lead to significant savings in terms of hardware and maintenance costs. Additionally, automated systems for customer service, fraud detection, and compliance reduce the reliance on human resources, leading to further cost reductions.
For small businesses and startups, fintech solutions offer an affordable way to access sophisticated financial tools that were previously out of reach. Cloud-based accounting, invoicing, and payment solutions enable these companies to operate more efficiently without the need for large investments in infrastructure or personnel.
4. Improved Security and Fraud Prevention
As the financial industry becomes more digital, security has become a top priority. The latest fintech technologies offer advanced security features that help protect businesses and their customers from cyber threats and fraud. Blockchain technology, for example, provides a decentralized and immutable ledger, ensuring the integrity and transparency of transactions. This makes it nearly impossible for malicious actors to alter or tamper with transaction records, reducing the risk of fraud.
Additionally, fintech software solutions integrate cutting-edge encryption methods and biometric authentication, such as facial recognition and fingerprint scanning, to safeguard sensitive data. AI-powered fraud detection systems can monitor transactions in real-time, flagging suspicious activities and preventing fraudulent transactions before they occur. These security measures help businesses build trust with their customers and ensure that sensitive financial information is protected.
By adopting the latest fintech technologies, financial institutions can also ensure compliance with stringent data protection regulations, such as the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), further reducing the risk of penalties and reputational damage.
5. Greater Accessibility and Financial Inclusion
Fintech technologies are making financial services more accessible to underserved and unbanked populations around the world. In developing regions, where access to traditional banking services may be limited, mobile phones and fintech apps are enabling individuals to manage their finances, make payments, and even access credit.
Digital wallets and mobile banking apps allow users to store, send, and receive money without the need for a physical bank account. Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending platforms are helping individuals and small businesses access credit that they might otherwise not be able to obtain from traditional banks. Additionally, fintech software solutions are allowing micro-lending institutions to assess creditworthiness more accurately using alternative data, such as mobile usage and payment history, making it easier for individuals without formal credit histories to secure loans.
By adopting fintech technologies, businesses can contribute to financial inclusion, helping to bridge the gap between the banked and unbanked populations and enabling more people to participate in the global economy.
6. Better Decision-Making and Data Analytics
Data is at the heart of fintech innovation. The latest fintech technologies, such as AI and big data analytics, enable businesses to gather, process, and analyze vast amounts of information in real-time. This allows financial institutions to make data-driven decisions, improve risk management, and offer more personalized services to their customers.
For example, AI algorithms can analyze a customer's spending habits, credit history, and financial goals to offer personalized financial advice and recommend investment opportunities. Similarly, advanced analytics tools can identify emerging trends in the market, allowing businesses to adjust their strategies accordingly. The ability to harness the power of data leads to more informed decision-making and better outcomes for both businesses and their customers.
7. Scalability and Flexibility
Fintech software solutions offer unmatched scalability, allowing businesses to grow without the constraints of traditional systems. Whether it’s increasing transaction volumes, expanding to new markets, or offering additional services, fintech technologies can easily adapt to changing business needs. Cloud-based platforms, for instance, allow businesses to scale up or down quickly without incurring significant costs or requiring significant infrastructure investments.
Xettle Technologies, for example, provides scalable fintech solutions that help businesses manage their growth seamlessly, offering flexibility and adaptability in a fast-evolving digital landscape.
Conclusion
The adoption of the latest fintech technologies offers a wide range of benefits for businesses in the financial sector. From enhanced efficiency and automation to improved customer experiences, cost savings, and better security, fintech solutions are revolutionizing the way financial services are delivered. By embracing these innovations, businesses can stay competitive, drive growth, and provide more personalized and accessible services to their customers. The future of finance is digital, and those who adopt the latest fintech technologies today will be better equipped to succeed in tomorrow’s rapidly evolving market.

Devblog 1
Hi! My name is Wendy, I'm a software developer, and the creator of Dear Darling Games. I'm going to be using Tumblr as a more relaxed and unpolished blog. For now, because I don't know how to format a blog post professionally quite yet. Later, I'll want a break from the structure of it, and have many things I feel I can chat about.
About me! I'm currently twenty two years old, and my goal is to be a solo game developer with a heavy focus on visual novel RPGs. I have no experience, and I'll be logging and citing my entire process as I learn to the best of my ability. Even figuring out the right questions to ask has been quite the task.
Tonight, I'm starting at square one. I'm using an IdeaPad laptop, and operate on a night-shift schedule due to work and life circumstances. This means most updates will be around four in the morning for me. I'm head of household in many ways, so sometimes I will have to step away for a day or two to get my affairs in order.
Here's all I'm learning, planning to learn as of now, and what I have so far.
Planning to learn: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Godot Engine, Procreate, and Blender. 2D paper-doll animation, rigging, video editing, layering, how to use Alpha lock... Sound design - cello, violin, piano, flute, foley techniques, and general sound equipment. Navigate and create - a website, a put together GitHub profile, and my first game pair; a 2D Mouse themed VN RPG, and a 2D farming game inspired by Zombie Farm with significant changes to the storyline, main mechanics, and characters. In essence, a reworked fan remake, and it will be free to play. I will also be learning how to navigate matters of intellectual property, copyrighting, and more in that area. Finally, I'll be learning Bootstrap, Sass, and React and Redux to create Single Page Applications.
Learning now?: HTML, CSS, Godot Engine, Procreate. Foley techniques, and I've officially gotten down plucking scales on my cello. No luck with the bow yet... I'm refreshing my guitar skills, and saving for a keyboard. I'm utilizing RPG Maker to start familiarizing myself with very, very basic aspects of how to communicate with the computer. Plus, it gives fast results which help lulls in attention span for learning how to do it all myself. I am not planning on publishing a game with RPG maker for *professional* purposes to illustrate learning or ability, but it is very fun to use.
What I've got: Full storyline and pathway branching for decisions, voice bits and character voices [done by me], snacks, water, and a dedicated workspace. Character sketches on paper, most of the dialogue, a working title for both, and most of the battle and other systems planned. It feels like all that's left to do is code and Learn How to Draw Digitally, but that's sure a lot when you have to break it down into all the little steps and refocus those into groups and whatnot. I also have a GitHub profile and joined their Developer Program, I have this tumblr, a Jira account to break down tasks and to-dos in a more manageable way, and my Neocities website has officially been set up to the point of Having It.
I'll release a pinned post with my production announcements later.

The image was the first official photograph released following the princess' abdominal surgery in January and was circulated by major news and photography agencies.
However, four of the largest agencies issued a "kill notice" for the image, asking those who were using it to remove it.
AP reported the reason for the image recall was: "It appears that the source [Kensington Palace] has manipulated the image in a way that did not meet AP’s photo standards."
"The photo shows an inconsistency in the alignment of Princess Charlotte’s left hand," AP stated.
Reuters later reported it had removed the photo for similar reasons to AP.
"Reuters picture editors said part of the sleeve of Kate's daughter's cardigan did not line up properly, suggesting that the image had been altered," it said.
"Reuters could not immediately establish how, why or by whom the alteration had been made.
"Leading picture agencies distributing news photographs prohibit the publication of images that have been overly edited."
The Reuters Handbook of Journalism states that Photoshop can only be used in limited matters like formatting, cropping, sizing and balancing tone and colour.
"Materially altering a picture in Photoshop or any other image editing software will lead to dismissal," it says.
AFP and Getty Images also issued their own notices and removed the image from their sites.
The photo is still up on the Princess' social media accounts.
Dr TJ Thomson, senior lecturer in visual communication and digital media at RMIT, says the image shows clear evidence of manipulation.
"The most obvious example is around Princess Charlotte’s left sleeve cuff. The left side of Princess Kate’s hair and her right hand also appear to be unnaturally blurred," he says.

Dr Thomson also ran the image through a forensic analysis software called WeVerify.
"That suggests that in addition to the cuff area on Princess Charlotte, the branches in the top-right corner of the image were also manipulated."

Hello! I am me
Hey! I'm Culinarisis or whatever I decide to change my name to in the future! young indie game developer who has been making games for around 4 years and I thought it be good for me to make a new account and start logging the creation of my new game I'm working on! I've made lots of random things now 2D games, 3Dgames, small games and big messes but I saw a great video that's gotten me all inspired to start logging some of the stuff I love to do, the video is called make video games by pirate software if you want to make games I do say you should watch it!
Anyways
I've only just now recently begun shifting an older project of mine called Blastell towards a new almost sub branch of a video game and will probably take a day or so before I have anything to show of that but! Ive made a couple games in the past both 2D and 3D simple and messy either way I'm just slowly tottering my way along into making cool things I enjoy and you should too! I've just watched a heckin awesome video called make video games by pirate software and its gotten me to think about sharing what I enjoy doing so much!
Anyways here are a couple different screenshots of my games in the past I've made with game jams, procrastination or just for the gits and shiggles <3

The nightmare of Visual Novels
So, I found this one website recommending Visual Novels (VN) for reading immersion. (Not to be confused with "graphic novels" which is, at its heart, a fancy term for comic book...) These are basically computer games where you follow a sort of branching story. A very typical one is the "dating sim" where you interact with a variety of love interests and try to, well, "romance" them - by choosing actions they may like, playing the game multiple times to achieve different endings, etc.
Funnily enough I know the concept mostly from the world of anime and manga, one of these meta things where there are now stories being written about VN - which themselves are stories and a way of story-telling. For example, "The World Only God Knows", where a dating sim addict is called upon to romance "actual" girls to drive hellish spirits out of them. Or the hilarious "Romantic Killer", where a gaming addict is forced into living a dating sim scenario.
But this is not about dating sims or the contents of particular VNs, this is about learning Japanese. I came across a website recommending learning Japanese through VNs, and the arguments were convincing:
You get the dialogue displayed on-screen which allows for reading it carefully.
You typically also get a voice-over, so you get also additional listening immersion, something harder to do with, let's say, anime. (Because VNs pause after a certain point and give you time until you continue. Also, depending on streaming site, you don't get Japanese subtitles / CC captions. Like on major anime streaming site Crunchyroll which typically has none of that.)
You can enlist certain programs for capturing text from the most common VN engines to actually use a dictionary with it.
So, sounds great, right?
The Shit You Can't Buy These Days
Welcome to the world of modern capitalism, where the prevention of spending money advances faster than the ability to actually buy stuff.
Huh?
This starts when you try buying these things. The geniuses that try to sell us things have decided that it's not good if we can simply buy stuff. No, this content is surely for that person in that market and can not be had anywhere else. Fans of manga may already be aware of this - some English translations of manga can only be bought in English-speaking countries because obviously those could be the only people ever interested in them...
So, if you live outside of Japan, you obviously have no interest, and hence get no way, to buy Japanese language VN. You may be able to buy an overpriced translated version on some console somewhere, but we won't let you lay your fingers on our precious software, no.
Hurdle #1: Money, money, money
So, there's a site called "DL Site" where you can legally buy Japanese VNs and, surprise, download them. This site also sells for example manga.
One problem: Payment providers, at least the usual Western gang thereof, doesn't like this website. For some reason, payment providers or major credit card companies nowadays like to stay as far away as possible from anything that could be classified as "adult entertainment" - and frankly, many VNs have that vibe. Not all of them. But these payment providers either limit themselves to a squeaky clean portion of the store (manga only, though) or are not available at all.
Mind you, I wasn't hunting for smut. I merely was trying to buy a VN.
I then went on an odyssey for finding a way to pay. Most options were Japan only - either obviously so or more subtly. Credit cards only work if issued in Japan. At some point I got myself a LINE (the Japanese chat app) account to use LINE Pay - only to find out that I cannot transfer funds into it for no apparent reason.
I was about to give up when I found the solution for the payment problem, which is as obscure as it gets. The payment providers don't want to be associated with the content, but there's a companion site to DL Site where you can buy coupons. These coupons can be redeemed into points that are equivalent to Yen and which you can pay with on DL Site, circumventing the absence of Western payment providers. (It actually works just fine, but it does look a bit fishy at first...)
Problem #2: Nah-nah-naaaah-nah
By which I mean: You didn't think it was so easy, right?
Now that you legally own something you paid for and downloaded it unto your Windows computer, can you play it?
No!
For you see, the publishers of these games have quite some opinions as to who can play their games. "Japan only", that's what. Seriously.
What used to be the dreaded copy protection in decades past is now some silly gating of content behind dubious checks that are made to ensure that the Japanese content can only be enjoyed in Japan.
I don't even pretend to understand why!
Seriously, the software in questions may check:
Your timezone
Your language settings
Your input settings
Your locale (date, time format, etc)
And only if these are sufficiently "Japanese" it may permit you to actually play the game you own (after all, you entered your serial).
The lengths to which a game company goes just to prevent you from playing their game, not for pirating reasons, but simply for ensuring that you are Japanese, is absurd.
At first I tried to run the game inside a virtual environment, "Virtual Box", but no matter how hard I tried, it wouldn't start there. It was quite a demanding little game... for something that plays some music and shows mostly static images and text.
But... do you really want to change all your content, input, language, and time settings to Japanese to start a game? Do you?
There's a way to simplify this a bit. You can have a second account on your Windows computer with all these settings in place, I called mine simply "Japanese". But frankly, that's also shit. Because to use a separate account you have to sign out of your main account, which closes all your apps, browser windows, etc. (Yes, Windows isn't exactly a true multi-user system in its consumer version.)
So this is a big hassle to just play a game for half an hour. (After all, you're brushing up your Japanese, you aren't fluent, so you'll probably tire of it at some point.)
Conclusion
Trying to lay your hands on a Japanese VN as a gaikokujin (foreigner) is a major hassle. Frankly, after managing to make the game run, I didn't actually play it because it had been so tiresome to actually make it work and there were major hoops to jump through just to get it to start.
Now, if you have a second computer, say, a laptop, this can all be navigated, but I spent hours on two separate days just to get to the point where the game was bought, downloaded, installed, and worked. The requirement to mangle some fundamental settings on my computer to just start many of these games doesn't sit well with me.
I never even installed the support for dictionaries because I felt I was done with it.

After weeks of action, the sole recruiters for the British operations of Israel’s largest weapons company, Elbit Systems, have confirmed via email to Palestine Action that they ended their association with Elbit on the evening of the 29th November. For two months, activists in the Palestine Action network had disrupted iO Associates at their premises across the country, to impede their ability to recruit roles for Israel’s war machine. iO Associates recruited the likes of engineers, software developers, and finance staff for positions across the sites of the British branch of Israel’s largest weapons company, Elbit Systems. Elbit are the largest supplier to the occupation military, providing the vast majorities of its drones, munitions, surveillance gear, and parts for its tanks, jets, and precision missiles. From Britain specifically, they manufacture parts for Israel’s killer drones, along with weapons sights, tank parts, and more, exporting these technologies to Israel in great volume yearly. This is the nature of the business that IO was Associates with, and were IO Associates biggest client. In response to their facilitation of Elbit’s criminal activities, iO’s offices were stormed and occupied in Manchester on the 1st September, and again on the 7th October. Activists painted iO offices red on October 9th in London, Reading, and Manchester. They were forced to vacate their Manchester offices from the 11th October, after the premises were also stormed by the Youth Front For Palestine, and then finally targeted in Edinburgh twice, on the 11th and 17th October. After being forced to vacate their offices, having their online presence tarnished, and (as confirmed to us by former employees) losing their staff who resigned in opposition to their arms trade partnership, iO Associates have finally cut ties with Israel’s weapons trade. This is part of an expansive strategy by Palestine Action, by disrupting the suppliers and facilitators of Elbit’s presence in Britain. It has seen Elbit’s accountants (Edwards), haulage providers (Kuehne + Nagel), landlords (JLL) and many other complicit companies targeted, alongside the hundreds of actions at Elbit sites themselves, continuing to resist the presence of Elbit warmongers in Britain, and constantly reminding those associated with them that they have blood on their hands. As a result of iO Associates dropping Elbit Systems, the recruiters have been removed as a target of Palestine Action’s campaign. All targets who still facilitate Israel’s weapons trade are listed on elbitsites.uk

If one of Q's hidden hobbies is pole dancing,
I can see him doing some moves in one of Q-Branch's large R&D areas when no one's there. You see, he had installed poles in there and successfully justified them with Accounting. (Well, in return for a customized software which will make the department's work go faster.)
He'll change into a dance outfit, or maybe not in case.... But I see him in customized Louboutin and dancing to this....
